Obituary Professor Nelson Mucha

          There are no words to describe how deeply we were shocked to learn of the sudden and so unexpected death of Professor José Nelson Mucha. We will never forget his wonderful lecture and his generous personality. Please accept our deepest condolences. Professor Mucha will never be forgotten.

          On July 17, 2019 Professor José Nelson Mucha accepted our invitation to be the keynote speaker for our 2020 Thai Association of Orthodontists’ scientific meeting. Due to the covid-19 pandemic; however, he and his wife (Dr. Maria Lucia Silva Mucha) finally were in Bangkok, Thailand during July 20-22, 2022 for our 2022 scientific meeting. On August 4, 2022, he posted his memory during his time in Thailand. “Meet and be in contact with the happy and hospitable Thai people, culture, faith and religiosity, and excellent cuisine” was what he described for his experience in Thailand.

          He will be missed worldwide and very much missed by those in our Association. We will always remember you, Professor José Nelson Mucha.
